Opening To Reception Daily

Opening to reception leads to experiences your mind never would've imagined would be healing.

On the train ride home from Dresden (a travel experience I’m not even close to integrating completely), two old Russian women and their grandson (presumably) boarded the train in Berlin and sat with us.

And immediately I felt a pull between one woman and I. A purely instinctive kind of energetic transmission. She only spoke Russian, and while I didn’t understand every single detail, I got the gist of their conversation.

The train was crowded, and all of a sudden many of them rushed out into another train (which we later found out was just a regional train heading in the same direction). Since she was surprised and didn’t understand any German, she asked us in Russian what was going on. And I truthfully replied, «Я не знаю, новый поезд?» “I don’t know, a new train?” in Russian.

It’s a beautiful moment when someone realizes you speak their language, even a little bit.

And that cemented the unspoken sense of comfort and ease between us.

See, these experiences can’t be planned. You’ll never know who you might meet when you’re receptive and open. It’s not about getting or taking something from a stranger—it’s about allowing your heart to soften and connect without attachment to outcomes or goals.

I’ll probably never meet this woman again. And yet, despite all odds, we shared a moment of connection that impacted me enough to share with you my gratitude for that meeting.

I treasure the little moments.
